Ads-Click raises $3M in new venture financing and announces expanded management team
Geneva, Switzerland - June 10, 2008
Ads-Click, a leader in contextual and mobile advertising, today announced the raising of $3M in financing from a group led by its historical investor BayTech Venture Capital of Munich. The funds will be used for technology enhancement and to support the company's international expansion in the rapidly-growing digital marketing services sector.
Ads-Click also announced the appointment of Christopher Wagner as CEO. Mr. Wagner will replace Pascal Rossini, who founded Ads-Click in January, 2004. Mr. Rossini will assume the role of Chief Strategy Officer and will spearhead Ads-Click's innovation activities.
Christopher Wagner is an online veteran who was the CEO of 24/7 Real Media Europe from 2001 to 2006. During this period, Mr. Wagner led the company to rapid profitability and substantial revenue growth. Wagner, a dual national CH-USA, is a lawyer and finance professional by training, and a graduate of Northwestern, Stanford and Harvard universities.
Ads-Click also announced the appointment of Andreas Pagel as Vice-President of Product Management. Mr. Pagel, a German national and recognized internet pioneer, was CTO Europe for 24/7 Real Media from 1997 - 2007. During this period Mr. Pagel led the company's product and operational expansion in Europe. Andreas Pagel is a process engineer by training and a graduate of the Technische Universität in Hannover.
BayTech's investment follows a similar investment in 2007 and reflects Ads-Click's performance and the potential of the online marketing sector.
